SaunaTierVote on saunas

How we rank saunas

Every ranking on SaunaTier combines two things: what the community votes for, and how a sauna stacks up on the specifications that decide a real purchase. Here is exactly how it works.

1. The community vote sets the order

The position of each sauna on the Hub is driven by up- and down-votes from visitors. One vote per person per sauna. The list re-ranks instantly as votes come in, so what you see is current popularity, never a sponsored slot.

2. We add the specs that matter

For every sauna we record and show:

  • Heat type, infrared (near/mid/far/full-spectrum) or traditional.
  • Capacity, how many people it really fits.
  • Max temperature, shown in °F for the US and °C for Germany.
  • EMF, flagged for infrared models, since it is the spec buyers ask about most.
  • Power, voltage and rough running cost.
  • Price, the current indicative price in the local currency.

3. We check claims and avoid hype

Health and safety claims get extra scrutiny. Where the evidence is mixed, EMF risk, infrared “detox,” medical benefits, we say so plainly rather than repeat marketing copy. None of our content is medical advice.

4. Affiliate links never buy a ranking

SaunaTier earns commission when you buy through some of our links. We disclose this on every page that uses them. Critically: paying us is not possible, and it would not move a sauna up the list anyway, the order is the community vote. If a sauna we earn nothing from is the favorite, it stays on top.

5. We keep it current

Prices, models and votes change, so the Hub is live and guides are revisited regularly. Spot something out of date? Tell us and we will fix it.
